Anyone running 255/75r17?

About to install a burtman 2/1 kit on my girlfriends 06 and am trying to figure out what size tire to run. I am looking at the good year duratrac 255/75r17 which is 32x10 is anyone running this size tire?

I used to run it, great stock upgrade size imo. You will need that spacer lift to make it work. You can check the pics out on my build link

I ran that size for almost 2 years before bumping up to 255/80/17. Might rub the front bumper some and I had to push the bumper liner forward.

Currently running it and love it. You may have some rubbing issues with that small of a lift though, but it is possible you wont.

Always take the advice here with a grain of salt. I have a 3 inch lift and after market UCA's and people here told me I would still have rubbing issues. That was not true at all.

All I had at the time was 3/2 spacer lift.. stock everything else. I pushed the fender liner forward so it wouldnt rub offroading.. otherwise it was fine

I run them with my Toytec Boss lift. Never had an issue rubbing.

Read this thread. It answers your question. 255/75/r17 won't rub with a 2/1 or even a 1/0" lift:

I run that on the stock rims, stock suspension, got the Rear air suspension and XREAS
Running the jeep takeoffs (Wrangler SRA?)

Minimal rubbing unless full lock and on uneven terrain. Rarely in normal driving.

That is a good tire size- a true 32" tire and doesn't look or handle too narrow. That size drives great in the rain and snow, too. I've also used 235/80r17s and those were a little too skinny. Lots of great options in the 255/75 and you can usually find take-off tires from Wrangler Rubicons.

I have over 45k miles on that tire size 255/75/17. Just bought my 2nd set of tires in that same size. I think it is perfect for what I use the 4Runner for, the only lift I have is the spring hat spacers.

I'm running 255/80/17.

I love them. Perhaps look into the 80 as opposed to the 75

I'm running 255/75-17 Duratrac with the Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift. Looks great and no rubbing.

Nice looking runner - I think the 80's for sure is the best way to go, when I lift mine I will be in that size tire. What Snorkel are you running?

I don't want to go over 32" on the tire and for all intensive purposes I think the skinnier tire will help on the road with snow rain etc. I like the duratracs I know they are a little aggressive but I really like them on my plow truck. Really appreciate the feedback hope to get the lift on this week and get alignment before ordering tires.
