Can anybody help me out with the no spring compressor method?

I am wanting to raise the c clip on my blistein 5100s a notch and I’m thinking about trying the no spring compressor method but the pictures no longer exist on the Toyota120 thread and I don’t really understand exactly what I’m supposed to be attempting to do..
Does anybody have pictures they could add to go with that write up?

Your using the lower control arm as the tool...and the weight of the T4R.
Support the T4R so the suspension travels freely.
Jack on the LCA/hub to compress.
3 bolts at the top hold the cup.
Center bolt on the shock for the coil.

Sorry I seem to be only marginally helpful.

Search "no spring compressor method" on YouTube. There are tons of videos on this method on a few 4runners but plenty of Tacomas.

I used this method to remove my Xreas and install some "new to me" billstein shocks from a Tacoma TRD. I don't know if you can get anough slack in the system to reposition the spring mount on the shock without complete removal of the shock/spring assembly.

I didn't loosen the alignment bolts but simply placed a 2x4 between the frame and LCA and sat on it. In hindsight I probably should have just loosened the bolts.
