ICON UCA (Delta Joint) Dust Covers

Hey All,
I just got myself some Icon UCA's along with the rest of my lift, and want to get some of the dust covers that Icon sells. The issue is that they are $45 bucks! I don't want to pay that much for two small aluminum pieces. Does anybody have some, and if so could you get me some dimensions? I am thinking I might try to 3d model them and then do some 3d printing to make them. If you have any alternative suggestions as well, that would be great!

Thanks!

Looks good man. Having a 3D Printer would be amazing for this very thing.

I don't have the delta joints, but I do have the regular tubular control arms and the dust covers. The diameter on mine is: 2.463"

If I remember correctly, mine did not have any part that stuck straight down under the dome (Like you have in your CAD). It was just a flat cover and two adhesive disks.

Hope this helps. . .

The covers for the tubuluar w/uniball and the delta joint are the same. I'd like to design them so that they are press fit, and don't need the adhesive... it just seems like too much a paint to clean/grease them.

So the outside diameter is 2.463? I found this picture on a tacoma forum, and I assume that theirs are the same pretty much. Do you have the dimension of that inner ring part? I guess I could just measure off of my control arm

Who would want to buy some if I could print them for a reasonable price?

I like the idea of a press fit cap, but I also don't mind dealing with the adhesive rings. My only complaint is the $11 + shipping and tax ICON wants for replacements. My head started to hurt trying to sort through the 3M website for which neoprene adhesive ICON includes in the kit. I need to make another attempt to find an alternative.

When I bought mine Icon sent one set of installation adhesive rings and one set of replacement adhesive rings along with the caps.

Sorry, I don't have the inner dimension.
I couldn't get my calipers in the with the dust caps and the joint installed. Hope somebody else can chime in for you.

No worries, I'll pull some measurements off of mine in the next couple of days. The battery in my calipers died

The Delta Joint UCA's how no moving parts underneath the cap. I imagine a 3D printed cap for a Delta Joint arm would be much easier then the uniball version.
