I had no issues with these specific core returns at Advance Auto about two years ago.

I'm planning on doing this upgrade soon with my 2007 SR5, it does have the 17" wheels. I was planning on buying the POWER STOP KCOE5874 kit from rock auto.

Has anyone used this kit and know if it would or would not work?

Edit: Apprently they wont work because I need 4th gen rotors.

So as best I can tell all these parts should work:
5th gen front brake kit KCOE5873
4th gen pads and rotors KOE2405
5th gen read calipers L2736, and L2737
All from powerstop.

Has anyone purchased the full 5th gen kit from PowerStop and had it work? If you select 2010 or 2011 it should give you everything 5th gen and all bolt right up correct?

Front Splash Guards

I realize it's not necessary, but if a person wanted to replace the splash guards instead of bending/shaving them, are these the part numbers that will allow for the Gen 5 rotors?

Front Brake Dust Guard Upgrade Left 47782-60120
Front Brake Dust Guard Upgrade Right 47781-60120

These are listed as 4th Gen parts. I'm guessing these match the Sport brake option?

I just did the front 5th gen rotors. I only had to push the shield away from the rotor and thats it. Rear 5th gen rotors wont fit the 4th gen rear.

Id like to chime in here on having just attempted this install. I got the 5th gen power stop calipers (#S6278) for my 4th gen sr5 as well as duramax 5th gen rotors.

The calipers bolted on no problem (after modifying the dust sheild). When I went to install the wheels, the drivers side cleared the caliper by about 1mm, but the passenger side hit the caliper. I have the 17 trd Tacoma wheels with 1.25 spacers. I double checked that I had everything mounted flush and correctly and I did, so Im not sure why I was not clearing on only the passenger side.

I figured a quick solution would be getting 1.5 spacers to add 1/4 of clearance, but after doing that they both still barely cleared by 1-2mm. I drove around on it a bit, and took it all apart to re inspect and my caliper on the passenger side has definitely rubbed a tiny bit on the inside of the wheel. Has anyone else ran into an issue like this?

That's really weird. I also just completed this upgrade with Centric parts (stuck with 4th gen rear rotors) and had zero clearance issues. My only real problem was severely rusted flange nuts on the hard lines and ending up spending and extra $80 to replace them all + some new bolts that broke off when removing the hard line mounts from the rear axel. My only bizarre experience was that for some reason the bleeders on the rear calipers were different sizes.?.

Been running the 5th gen front caliper rotors and 4th gen rear set up for a few years... I think it's worth it.. there is benefits to stopping performance and longevity of the parts.

Is it rubbing the rim, or do you have weights that it's rubbing? I just did the powerstop calipers on my 4th with trd rims and had the calipers rubbing the weights on the inside of the rim. Had the tire shop rebalance with weights out of the calipers path and all was solved.
