which is exactly the height i want.

Here is the 2" on 35s with a 100lb tent on top loaded down with camping gear.

just under 2"

Thanks everyone- looks like I'll be getting the HD springs. Anyone run them with OME 60071L shocks? 15.25/26.5" seems like it should work without dropping the bumpstops.

Also, is everyone keeping the rear sway bar? I know it limits flex, but my 4Runner is a daily driver/kid hauler. Might keep it on most of the time and ditch it for burlier trails.

Only side pic I have with me but it was after install and I actually have a jack under the driver side LCA so the passenger coil is slightly compressed.

i dont have any sway bars on mine, and it is tippy, especially with the tent. I would try with it first. Then disconnect and test it out without it and see what you think.

Some like it, some dont.

I'm just running regular Icon 2.0 with remote resi extended travel shocks, not the Metal Tech specific shocks. Can't comment on OME stuff.

Haven't had a rear sway bar in a couple years, although I almost wish I'd had it driving home in 40-50 mph winds last weekend. I was all over the road after trashing my front end alignment.

My brother has those shocks on his FJ. Freaking stiff. The FJ is short too so it feels like a constant front to back motion, the rear overpowers the front. He has stock weight in the back daily, just skids/sliders/roof rack if those count. Loaded down a bit more they do ride better of course. I wouldn't put them on my truck as a daily driver but they do have nice travel and are cheap. Noticeably stiffer than my 2.5" Icon rears and his previous 2.0 Icon rears.

Good to know. I have OME up front so I'm trying to match the feel of those. I currently have the 60020 rear shocks and they are firm, but not terrible. ARB lists a 60020L shock (14.9/26.5)- not sure how they cram that much travel in such a short compressed length.

i installed my MT heavy springs not too long ago. here is a pic unloaded, i would say the the heavy spring are definitely over 3inch unloaded. I have a measurement of 26inches from center hub to fender line. front coils were at a modest 3 inch setting, so the heavy springs def gave it more stink bug stance. tires in pic are some worn 295/70/17's. hope this helps those out on the fence. i'm actually swapping to MT mediums now because i don't run enough weight at this time, but will save the heavies for later. its not the ride that bothers me unweighted, its the rake that bothers me. Too much rear lift, and like Inv4drZm stated earlier, you have to jack the front coils up to the point of almost no droop to even get it close to reasonable (unweighted that is).

Thanks, Chankeye. That does look like more than 3”! How much weight does it take for the rear to settle down a little?

Your 4runner is looking good. It’ll be interesting to see how much lift you get with the medium springs.

I'm about 25" both sides. It's hard to get super accurate because my sidewalls bulge out so far.

This is mostly unloaded, just the bumper weight.

That looks perfect. 25” is what I’m looking for. How much does your bumper with swingout weigh? 250-300ish?

About 200, then the wheel/tire combo is like 80ish.

i've only had about 300 lbs in it and the back dropped less than .5 inches. i can see having full skids, steel bumpers, and being loaded with gear dropping it significantly, to the point of being perfect (to me). that's why i'm going to hang on to the heavy springs and run the mediums for now. thanks for the compliment though, i'll be installing the mediums today so i can get back later with a pic of what those look like.

So after reading through it seems that it's totally fine to run these springs with the standard icon 2.0, part# 56505 shocks?

Would you reccomend the medium or heavy coils with 50# of tools, rear drawer system, 100# roof top tent. I'll be eventually adding a custom tube swingout.
