**4th Gen ADVENTURE Photo/Video Thread** - Rules Apply
Backstory
Ok, I have a quam with the 4th Gen portion of this forum. You go to the 3rd Gen section and there are tons of innovative builds with great adventure photos and stories all over the place. The 5th Gen section even has a lot of great adventure and photo journal threads. The 4th gen section is all about "what size tire can I run" and driveway pics ;) Besides, I never even know what thread to post my pics in.... Lift & Tire Central OR 4th Gen T4R Picture Gallery? Are they the same thread with a different name? Time to change that.
Who here actually uses their 4th Gen for adventure based and/or offroad travel?
THREAD OBJECTIVE: Let's make this thread dedicated to photos of 4th gens in the wild as a base for inspiration when we are all stuck indoors at our desks.
Rules
1) Photos should show a vehicle (not specifically a 4th gen, but preferred) or a landscape achieved through use of a vehicle.
2) Photos cannot show a vehicle on a paved surface of any kind (that's what the two threads mentioned above are for).
3) Photos should be taken with an emphasis on adventure, potentially showing the terrain and surrounding area.
*Camp photos allowed as long as they follow the other rules.*
4) Photos should possess some elements and traits of "good photography/videography".
*If you are not good at photography, no big deal, just don't post something that was taken with a potato or with your brothers Motorola Razr cell phone from the early 00's - we are trying to motivate and inspire here!*
5) Dont be THAT person that posts photos at 20,000x10,000 resolution (typically a good standard for web viewing is 800x600, 1024x683)
6) When quoting other people's posts PLEASE cut the image coding out of the comments before you reply.... sucks when a page is filled with repeat quoted images!
7) Offroad and adventure videos acceptable as long as they adhere to above rules.
Ready, set, GO!

**4th Gen ADVENTURE Photo/Video Thread** - Rules Apply
Good idea, should help with some of the clutter in the 4th gen section. Will definitely be posting as time goes, but I will be upgrading to a real camera probably within the next month. All your guys’ shots look incredible! Haha

Love the idea of this thread and I like posting pics of my 4th gen. Unfortunately, my pics are nowhere near as nice or clear as Addison's, most were shot with an iphone some are actually shot with my wife's nice Canon.
Somewhere in Moab
Somewhere in Colorado
Top of Mt. Taylor
Imogene pass
Black Bear pass

Great idea for a thread! Small rant: When I was choosing between replacing my beloved 3rd gen (totaled) with another 3rd gen, or going up to a 4th gen, I noticed the same thing about the 4th gen sub-forum. It honestly worried me a bit that I didn't see a thread dedicated to people wheeling their 4th gens, and that they really are the red-headed step-child of the 4Runners. Glad to see a thread dedicated to proving that wrong!
So, while my new-to-me 4th Gen is waiting for decent tires so we can start our off-road adventures together, here's a sampling of places in Colorado I took my 3rd gen that I plan to take my new 4th gen (and beyond). I'm invoking the parenthesis in Rule #1
Quote:
1) Photos should show a vehicle (not specifically a 4th gen, but preferred) or a landscape achieved through use of a vehicle.

Imogene Pass hunting for snow to ride in October. I have a fun challenge that's been going for three years now where I snowboard at least one day out of every month of the year. My 4Runner makes that a lot easier!
Up on Peak 10 in Breckenridge to ride the 4th of July Bowl on 4th of July.
Up at the highest point on the road up Mt. Princeton before trail running the rest of the peak.
Setting up camp for the night up the 4WD road on Mt. Elbert to climb and then snowboard down the Box Creek Couloirs.
