wheel vibrations

my 07 limited has developed a terrible vibration at 50-60 mph- the thing is this doesn't happen all the time and after a few minutes slowing down it seemly goes away- i thought it might be wheel balance/alignment issue but than why wouldn't it happen all the time - any thoughts would be apperciated
