Arrow Has anyone had tires replaced with the factory warranty?

I now have 20k miles on my 2005 4runner. I have noticed that all my tires have cracks on the tread and in between. I do have the crappy Dunlops! Last month I had my tires rebalanced because of of vibration issues at about 60mph. The local tire shop have noticed that my front tires have tread separation. Do you think the dealership will warranty/replace my tires? Has anyone had this issue?

BTW: The rebalancing solved the vibration issue!

Thanks

No, the warranty doesn't cover tires. The tires are warranted by the tire manufacturer. There should've been a supplement warranty pamplet from the tire manufacturer. On my other cars, I've have gotten multiple pamplets from different tire manufacturers due to the car maker using different brands.

Thanks! Going to try to find a local Dunlop dealer and see what happens.

Good luck, after 20,000 miles they will likely prorate the cost of replacement to you anyway. You might as well get better tires on there soon as that tread sep vibration will come back very soon.

In my experience, Toyota's "warranty" is a facade. As long as your vehicle can move under it's own power, whatever problem you think you have is normal. Unless there is some kind of recall, you won't get your tires replaced under warranty. Sorry...

Thanks! I figured that! I called around looking for Dunlop dealers and there isn't too much in my area. I'm going to stop wasting my time and just go ahead and buy a set of some quality tires.

Thanks again!

I found this out after I had a blowout on my Camry and calling Toyota Customer Service. They asked what brand of tire was on the car and gave me the number to contact Bridgestone about it, which said take it to the Firestone store.
