No kidding, if you aren’t cussing while getting the LCA off, you are doing it wrong. The passenger side totally ceased up. Took 5 sawzall blades to cut her off! Not for the faint of heart.
Took her back to NTB for an alignment and was informed my “lifetime alignment” expires next month. I’m still on the same tires I bought it with. Lifetime?
When I was at an alignment shop years ago a mechanic said I needed to replace the lower control arms (with bushings). I bought him hew ones from Amazon and he installed them.

I also had him replace the sway bars, but ball joints in mine are OEM.

No front-end noises in my 2005 with 150,000 miles.

Hey man, did you ever figure out what your clunk problem was? I watched your YouTube video and it sounds similar to my clunk, and I also have the bilsteins 5100.

Time to revive an old thread.
I have a clunk, only turning left out of a parking spot on eneven ground, usually when the truck has been sitting a few hours.

Years ago I had a clunk and it was the sway bar bushings which I replaced.
The upper control arms were replaced five years ago with Camburgs to accommodate the 4” lift.
The lowers had the bushings replaced five years ago.
Recently I greased the entire front end of the truck, any part that moved got greased even the swaybar bushings to free them up and the clunk is still there.
I thought if it was the sway bar bushings again I would grease them first if the clunk disappeared I would replace them.

Also, with a lift kit the steering stops will clunk if the wheels are turned locked one way or the other so I keep grease on those to stop that from happening

Because my 5100s l started leaking I replaced them with Bilstein 6112 and new 650lb springs.

Any suggestions?

I had a very similar issue. After looking under my rig, a bolt holding on the skid plate was loose. My stabilizer bar bushing was also going bad which also added to the noise. May be worth a check.

FWIW, I had a front end clunk. Replaced sway bar bushings with urethane ones that I found in a very low durometer. Problem completely went away and the overall dynamics of the car are very good now.

When turned and going over the drain curb to my drive, I hear and feel the same noise. Backing from most parking spots I get the same.

It’s not a ‘click click click’ that you would expect with a CV joint.
This weekend I put a wrench on every nut I can find. I put 5100’s in 3 years ago so I know the suspension well.

I had a bad wheel bearing on the passanger side that I was hoping was responsible. That’s now replaced.

I lifted the wheels and all tires are solid, so wheel bearings are good. I feel no wiggle in any joints as I try to move the tires while up on the jack. All feel tight.

I’m wondering what this group suggests to check. I can’t find anything loose, but it’s some clear suspension clunk when turning tight and/or going over a dip at low speed. I don’t hear it over normal bumps and pot holes while driving.

Any ideas would be appreciated
