I too need to find a solution for this. My 4th gen seats feel like im sitting on bricks. There is 150,000 miles on these concrete slabs.
I have been looking into maybe getting the corbeau 4th gen seat brackets $119 but the part that is holding me back is I havent seen a corbeau seat less than $500. If I do the passenger seat that is another $500+
I am hoping to find a solution where I can get both seats done for about $500

It was for the 4th gen. When you order the set, the seller will contact you about your vehicle, ask a few questions about how the seats are set up. They CNC these to order so you get to choose your pattern and everything, made in Texas I believe ('Merica!) Comes with install instructions, I just elected to remove the seats to be more efficient and save myself the strain on the back doing the install with seats in the vehicle

Just make sure you unplug EVERYTHING under the seat, there is still power for the seat belts and lumbar adjustment.

On my 2004 sport model, the foam and bottom seat covers were interchangeable between driver and passenger sides. Got a lightly used passenger seat and rebuilt the drivers side with the parts

5th Gen or Tundra swap??
I don't have any parts in front of me to check but I find it hard to imagine that Toyota wasn't lazy enough to upcycle lots of parts into the 5th gen. Might seats be one of them?? Anyone have access to a friendly neighborhood 5th gen to see what kind of connectors and size differences there are between the two. I'd gladly pay a few hundred bucks for some "new" 5th gen seats for the front of my 4th gen. An FJ Cruiser might also be a donor but some of those parts will be nearly as old as the 4th gen so finding a "premium" set of those seats will be equally hard as the 4th gen.
I just took mine for a swim this weekend and my Airbag light is now on. I wonder if the "sensor" in the seat is bad but I'm not sure the driver's side has that. I haven't had anyone in the passenger seat yet to see if it goes from off to on there on the dash.

Hi everyone! My driver's seat in my 06 just started making a creaking noise and the left side of the foam is collapsing a bit. I'm guessing I either broke the support springs and/or the foam is shot. Do I need any special tools to take the bottom cover off and inspect the innards?
