@BetteMidler - Good good. That screen name is funny. And it seems the best settings for 4th gen and 5th gen is green 7-9. Both trucks seem to work best on these settings.

Clever mounting spot. Now, again you don’t have to even use the controller. You can set it on whatever setting you find best and then disconnect the controller and it will save the setting forever.

I have a treasured 4th gen v8, can't wait to install it.....Jason already has it on the way, arriving shortly.....this lag/surge has always been a noticeable improvement area....!

I read through some pages on this thread, and I have seen several people compare this product to the heavily marketed pedal commander which appears to do essentially the same thing and costs roughly the same (more currently due to sale). The consensus seems to prefer this product, and I certainly prefer the idea of it, but I am actually curious what makes this the superior choice, technologically speaking. I have heard of a few people running into issues with pedal commanders lighting up their dash and locking things out costing lots of money. Haven't heard of that with this product but I don't know if it's also a risk. If so I may stay away from this mod even though it sounds really, really great...

@MacRendar - I sell both and removed the pc brand from our website. Gave too many problems and inferior circuitry. The Sprint Booster is PATENTED and made in Greece and I don't have issues with them after over 1,000 sold for 4Runner since 2009. It's just a much better unit.

Sounds like the device improves the throttle response .

However, I have yet to see documented improvements in 0-30mph and 0-60 mph times.

Could someone please post the times before and after the installation of the device?

My 2015 TRD drives fine with a heavy foot when I need it.

Who said it improves 0-30 or 0-60? It is not marketed that way.

This will speed up 0-60 hands down. The reaction time is super sped up. If you have two 4th gens at a red light, and when it turns green, if both people hit the gas at the same time, the 4Runner with the booster will crush the one without it. I've done it several times, and with other cars that are way faster than a 4Runner too (now those others will catch up, but you get the initial jump), but the lag is what you have to deal with without the booster. This has now become my best selling 4th gen part.

If I apply 100% throttle, how does this device help me accelerate faster?

By reducing the delay in the stock drive by wire.

So if I install this device it will reduce my 0-60 times?

Theoretically, yes. I don’t own one, so I have no first hand experience with it. I’m a speed freak in general, but I am not concerned with the acceleration of my 4Runner. It’s my tow vehicle.
