Start at low numbers and work your way higher as you get used to the change in throttle response. I just filled my tank so I'll see if there's any change in the gas mileage. Even if there isn't, I'm happy having a throttle that actually does what I want now!

will the Sprint Booster work on a 2003? I had looked on their site and for some reason they have it going from 2004-2009. I saw on your site that it started with 2003. Was just curious if there was some difference? If so, do you have the one for the 2003 in stock?

@ momo.75
Quick response is that while I dont feel its necessary with the V8 I would purchase it again!
Longer response/review....Guess ill start with a little bit about my driving style. I tend to have a heavy foot and tend to get from point A to point B faster than most. I spent a lot of time finding the right 4runner for me and after test driving quite a few the V8 was definitely my preference. While I have owned trucks in the past most recently I had an audi S4 followed by a lexus IS350. Overall the V8 impressed me but I figured if there was anyway to get it moving a little quicker without spending a ton of money Id give it a try. Personally I am happy with the increased responsiveness I feel the Sprint Booster provides. After having it for a couple weeks and finding the right setting for my needs I shut it off for a couple days and missed it. Heres my thoughts in different driving scenarios:
In the city-Love it, helps me get going quicker and feels much more responsive
On the highway-Love it, easier to get going and when you need to pass someone the quicker response comes in handy.
In the dirt/on the trails-actually shut it off as I am looking for more control and the stock setup seems to do better
Only potential downfall I worry about, specifically when its on the higher modes, is what its doing to the transmission. Not sure it really has any negative impact but when the tranny downshifts two gears and then up shifts quickly through them I have to wonder. Also prefer to have a smoother feel so for the most part find myself setting it on sport mode number 5 and loving it.
Overall it does what it says it will do, eliminates the lag and for the price its well worth it in my opinion.
Let me know if there are any additional details/thoughts I can provide and happy 4th!

I concur...an amazing improvement in throttle response and if you have the v8, which is already much sharper in TR than the v6, you will feel like you're driving a turbo'd UTV! I would not hesitate to do this again if I ever needed to!
