According to Jason B, the seller/official site vendor, in his posts above, yes it will.

Maybe I am not very imaginative... This device can only change what pedal position is reported to the ECU. You can only report a maximum of 100% throttle on the ECU's input. How is it going to do anything my right foot can't already do?

By reducing the delay. The 100% throttle is reported to the ECU faster.
Imagine you are filling a glass with water at a sink. You turn the water on all the way, but no water comes out for a second or two, so you replace the faucet. Now the water comes out immediately, and at the same rate. It will fill the glass faster than the old faucet did.

You're going to have fun with it. I did just get more units in stock again and still shippping express.
Burtman Industries Sprint Booster, On Sale right now for T4r.org members, ships 2nd day air and 5 year warranty!
If you're at a redlight next to another 4runner without the booster, and if both people hit the gas at the same time when that light turns green, the truck with the booster will pull out first, every single time. Or at a 60 mph roll, and you both punch it, etc.

So the thesis is that the delay is happening at the pedal and not at the ECU?

It’s happening between the pedal and the ECU, so technically not at either. The pedal sends a signal to the ECU through the drive by wire system, and sprint boosters/pedal commanders alter that signal.

Anyone try the lockout mode? Auto theft here rampant, and beyond the standard feature, thought this could be useful. Do you simply input a code into the controller to activate/de-activate?

This is going to be my next upgrade, excited to try after reading the reviews. Jason is very easy to work with.

@ WyEast-08
- That's a very cool feature. Yes, you create a 3 digit pin of your choice and it disables the gas pedal completely. This is great for when you're parked at an airport/hotel, etc.
I had a customer that was a pilot. Every time he went out of town his 16 yr old daughter would take the truck out with her friends! Wherever he hid the keys, she would find them. He bought the booster from me for this reason! Now if she gets the keys, she isn't going anywhere!

Upon taking an initial spin around the residential block and was initially disappointed. However that changed when going down more commercial streets and I needed to accelerate more. This is where the SB shines. It no longer feels like I’m dragging the whole weight of the vehicle behind me, but the vehicle now feels like it accelerates more like it should. The only recommendation I would make is to mount the SB with Velcro. This will make hiding the module easier when taking to the dealership for any warranty work.

Great review and you hit the nail on the head! Also, you don't have to hook up the controller at all if you don't want to. Once you set it, you can unplug it and it will save the setting in the firmware. But, I like it connected as you have the other features like Pedal Lock and Valet mode!

Update: anyone that ordered this week, will have next week. Ran out and just got more in
