Sprint Booster SALE for 4th gen 4Runner, Limited time. Reduces delay of drive by wire
At the request of many members I worked a deal on this and am passing it on.
NOW IN STOCK. I'm running this price for a few days and see how they sell, but will have to raise it soon.
Burtman Industries Sprint Booster, V3 SALE!
If any questions, etc, you can always call and order over phone too, or text 717-319-2100
(I've sold a slew of these for the Honda Ridgeline (another vehicle with the same issues as the 4Runner) because that truck has some natural hesitation and people loved them. ALSO, I've been selling these for the 5TH GEN 4Runner, which doesn't have as much delay as the 4th gen, and people still love them and are getting them. These don't give more hp, which many think that's what it does. It makes the vehicle feel more like there's a direct link, a cable link from the pedal to the throttle body, which most of these drive by wire setups still aren't instant like an old school cable would be. Gives a more instant feel when merging from an exit onto the highway, more instant response when mashing the throttle, and quick pass bys where you may need to get out the way quick, it's just all around more instant.)
Below are some recent installs on 5th gen 4Runner, (remember, delay isn't as bad as 4th gens, and great feedback:

Got one on the way...after driving a neighbor's 5th gen with one of these, I've been wanting to get rid of my soggy pedal.

I never heard about this mod before. Is this only for the VVTI engines, or were the earlier gen4’s drive by wire as well? Mine is an ‘04 V8. I honestly never looked at it close enough, just assumed it was cable controlled.

Does this also include the controller? Others have described 3 driving modes but your link seems to indicate only a single band/no controller..?

Yep, yours is drive by wire, all 4th gen are, and this will work.

Yep, this is the LATEST VERSION there is with the controller. Which you can mount in a switch blank, or, if you don't want to, you can just set it, and unplug it and it will SAVE the position you left it in, and you don't need that part anymore, and just keep it in the glovebox.

The 5th gen guys are loving these and they work.

Doubt that it does, but does anyone know if this affect gas mileage either good or bad?

some people claim small differences but I guess it would depend on what the relay actually does. my guess is they just are not used to driving in those RPM ranges.. I don't think it is changing fuel ratios or anything relative to an actual custom tune but rather just eliminating the communication delay and allowing you to set the threshold of the pedal to be more sensitive.

Limited time for the product itself or the discounted price?
Would love to purchase one of these sometime but there’s just so much I want/need to do with my 4R still!

Ordered mine on Monday, it arrived on Wednesday...great shipping!
I installed it this evening, set to Green 9 and took a spin. WOW!! It really shines during part-throttle acceleration from cruising speed, e.g. passing, accelerating uphill. Also wakes things up during acceleration from dead stop, more of a positive launch when you put the pedal down than the factory buffered gradual throttle opening.
I dialed it back to Green 5 for errand-running just to get a feel for it, might try the Red settings after I get a good baseline.
Thanks for the price reduction, it was enough to pull me off the fence.

Great! Yea, it's crazy how much difference you feel. I finally got my neighbor to do it for his 2004. His wife now is thanking me too. I guess when she drive it and needed to merge onto the highway she said it wasn't fast enough or scary, and now she's happy.

Just ordered. Looking forward to it. It's definitely one thing that I've noticed an issue with in the month and a half I've owned my 04.

Sweet. Yep, you will instantly notice more instant throttle response and it wakes up the truck like you fed it coffee.
