wheel stud broke

A month ago I noticed I was missing a wheel nut on my right front wheel. Since I had the tires rotated several weeks prior I figured the wheel shop forgot to put one on. I drove a week or two without it prior to getting to the Toyota or tire dealer for a new wheel nut.

When I tried to insert the nut I discovered the stud had broken off about halfway in. The dealer replaced the stud and I was on my way. I thought perhaps the wheel shop did not torque my wheel nuts properly but they are particular about this and I even asked when I took the truck in. I think the 06 Sport is about 88 lbs. Anyway, wondering if anyone else has seen this happen? I could not tell the nut/stud were missing while driving.

wheel nut

Thanks jharris2! I should have done a search first. That's a big help. I may question and inform my tire dealer a little more next times pertaining to the 4R.
