Cause of Rear Drivers Inner Tire Wear?
My rear drivers side tire is off camber and wearing on the inside. Before taking it to the shop, I wanted to get some second opinions. The truck drives straight, very slight vibration on the highway maybe a little around 55-65mph, it doesnt wobble and ive jacked it up and tried to move it around for maybe a bad wheel bearing but its solid. There is a droning sound past about 45mph but I suspect that is from the uneven tire wear.
Ive read some cases where people have a bent axle housing but also read that it thats the case the gears would be grinding and I just took it on a 1500 mile roadtrip in the NC mountains and it drove great just the droning sound.
What are all the factors that could be causing inner tire wear on the rear? Just trying to have some knowledge and opinions on it before a shop says I need a brand new axle.
