Any advice how to remove this simple bolt?
Haven't done this job myself, but since you have done one side, is there anything that can possibly be seized to that bolt? Sounds like the sleeve that it goes through came out so what is left, a large flat washer???

That's where I'm stumped- it's a flange head bolt that's isn't stuck at the head, and I can't see how anything could be holding on at this point. I'd be less confused if I hadn't already done the passenger side. There is maybe a 2 paper sheet thick space around the head if I wiggle the bolt, but somehow I can support a good amount of weight when I lift into the bottom.

This is the bolt with the trouble spot marked.

Time for the big hammer, a couple of good whacks with a hand sledge.

I found the problem- the upper portion of the bolt fused to the sleeve in the body. That's what I'm spinning as opposed to just the bolt. Currently drilling into it and wishing I could be done.

It's been a nice upgrade so far. I got some height (final measurements TBD as I'm not finished) but the ride also feels better over uneven road such as rail crossings.
