Year: 2008
Tire Size: 285/70-17
Gear Ratio if you know it: Stock
2WD, 4WD or AWD: 4wd, 2wd except when off-road or inclement weather
Modifications that affect MPG: tires, plate bumper, sliders, steel skids, hitch tire carrier with full size spare and hi lift jack.
Performance (lol) intake, Flowmaster 50 suv, 3° retard cam gears, XTP intake plenum spacer.
Current highway fuel economy: 17 thanks mainly to the cam gears, they make a good difference. City driving is about 15, which is pretty good considering all the extra weight.
V6 or V8: V6
Average speed you travel: 70-75
Anything else you want to add: I love this rig and will take the poor mileage.

How do you like the 245's? I run 255's but recently I've seen that size in some all terrains. Curious to compare weights and wondering how they do in snow.
Its not even 1/2" so probably not much difference.

The tires came with the car when bought so i cant compare to the original 265s. Tire size calculator says the height difference is only 0.06" or 1/16" compared to stock 265/65-17. When the time comes im looking to go with 255/70-17s. I also have no experience in the snow, we dont get that here

On the same day driving from Colorado to Kansas, flat interstate:
@73mph a full tank gave me 18.5mpg
@80mph a full tank gave me 16.5mpg
V6 or V8: V8
Anything else you want to add: Calculated by hand and added 12% for tire diameter.

I'm not sure but I think this is after I installed the speedometer healer which corrects the speedometer which in turn corrects the odometer to compensate for the larger tires. So by manually correcting for the 12% difference I doubled up on the math.
So I think my actual numbers with 35's were:
@73mph 16.3mpg
@80mph 14.5mpg
With 37's I think its closer to 11 or 12 in town commuting.

Year: 2007
Tire Size: 265/65 17
Gear Ratio if you know it: Standard
2WD, 4WD or AWD: 4WD that I leave in 2WD
Modifications that affect MPG: Roof rack with site stepladders, always full of tools
Current highway fuel economy: 19.2 US Gallon 23.1 Imperial gallon
V6 or V8: V6
Average speed you travel: Unknown, cruise at about 60mph on long journeys but often accelerate hard. D
Anything else you want to add: I always use super unleaded 98+ RON. Equivalent to your 93 Pump I think. They have crappy 10% ethanol standard fuel here now.

Stock 2006 V8 Limited on factory 18 inch rims. Blizzaks in the winter. Kumhos the rest of the year.
16 mpg city/highway mix but mostly gentle highway cruise. Calculated on the trip computer and actual calculation of fuel used and distance traveled.
Occasionally 17 - 18 mpg if I don't drive too much stop/go.
Using the smaller US liters (3.78) to one gallon conversion. The Limited V8 is awd all the the time. About $75 USD to fill up every 2.5 weeks. Not bad for the vehicle that is this capable.

I was at 22 but as soon as I stopped at some lights and what not, the mileage dropped fast.

Tire Size: 285/70R17 (Randos that were on when I bought it)
Gear Ratio if you know it: Don't know. Standard
2WD, 4WD or AWD: AWD?
Modifications that affect MPG: Small rack behind sunroof. Has a spacer lift.
Current highway fuel economy: Anywhere from 13-15mpg
V6 or V8: V8
Average speed you travel: 65-75 on the highway.
Anything else you want to add: I feel like I am getting worse mpg than others. I am slowly going through the truck and changing everything out. Fluids are being done next. So far the brake fluid and power steering fluid were black from the PO.
My ultra gauge says the average is 14.6mpg, but I forgot to reset it before I went on a trip this weekend. LCD screen says around 15.7.
