Stiff steering

Ok guys hoping some of you can shed some light on this, anyway just recently I noticed when I'm not moving such as at a stop light stop sign etc it's hard to turn the steering wheel almost like if its pressing against a curb or something but once I start driving it's fine, I dont think it's my tires since I had these tires for awhile now and it never did this before, would it be my power steering?

Check the fluid level for sure. Might be just a tad low.

In addition to fluid level as mentioned above, how old is the fluid? Colder weather causes thickness as simple chemistry, but old degraded fluid is usually even thicker. Might be time for a flush with new clean fluid.

Intermediate shaft. Spray a little WD-40 on the steering knuckle, if it loosens up for you, the shaft is on it's last legs.

I didnt think my steering was too stiff until I changed the fluid. It made a big difference. The cold is definitely multiplying the stiffness too.
