Largest tire for the standard wheel size and 3inch lift?

I have a 3 inch revtek lift, with BFG KO tires (as per sig). Can I go with the 285 BFGs? Or will they rub? I want to use the same wheels (17s).

And I have searched for this, and I could not find a clear answer. Sorry!

Also - for the record, what is the largest tire I can have on my 4runner with that 3 inch lift? Revtek web site references a 16 inch wheel (not the 17 inch one that I have)

285 will require trimming. You can do a search for "285" to find exactly what will need to be trimmed. 265/70R17 will be the largest to fit in your spare size, however one guy was able to fit a non-bfg 285 back there by tilting the wheel a little.

You can adjust the 16" Revtek reccomendation for your 17" wheels by adding 5 to the second measurement.
285/75R16=285/70R17=285/65R18
This is a good site to compare tire sizes: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Hope that helps!
Paul

275/70-17 will fit with no rubbing.
