Tough Times Shifting

Rig: 2007 V8 Limited 4WD, 187k on the clock

Due to travel, my runner had been sitting for about 2 weeks, outside in supposedly a lot of rain. Now coming back and driving it, I noticed today that shifting seems tougher (P to D, and D to P). I can still shift, and it seems to drive fine.

Part of me thinks I noticed it once, and now I'm hypersensitive to it, but it really doesn't seem right. I'm really just worried about having trans issues, and will probably flush the fluid here now, in attempt to fix this issue.

I saw some 3rd gen threads with similar issues. They talked about linkage adjustments... anyone ever messed with our linkages, or had a similar issue to me?

2003 175k my shifter linkage broke inside the console. The lever broke free from the mechanism. I used zip ties to put it back together because I needed the truck and didn't want to buy the whole assembly. Symptoms were hard to move lever.

Remove the console and take a peak. You'll be amazed how much crap is down there. Clean and lube it up.

Well that's better than a tranny issue, now just gotta find the free time to do it. Any specific lube to use?
