Relocating a Fuse Box

Hi

I have a 2009 4runner V6 and was wondering if anyone has any experience with what i am hoping to do, which is to relocate the entire fuse box to either the trunk or to the glove compartment...

How much work was this and how feasible is it.

The reason for me wanting this is because i need that space

You're talking an incredibly difficult task that involves moving - and possibly extending - most of the main wiring harness. I would very seriously recommend not doing it.

What mod could be so important that such a monumental task of rewiring would be worth the effort?

Thanks everyone for responding.
I have a large 400 amp lithium batter that i want to fit in the engine bay as opposed to the back.
So my options are to relocate the fuse box to the left side where the second battery typically goes, or to relocate to the back

After doing extensive electrical work on mine after replacing the engine and pulling the fuse box out of the case I would say this is just about impossible. There is no give in the hiring harness meaning you’d have to extend and there’s hundreds of wires to splice.

Can't you put the new battery on the passenger side?
