thanks - the crew im dealing with now will treat me well and started at 580 so hopefully it goes well. i feel a bit better after realizing that i got my truck maybe 4 mos ago and it has pretty fresh KYB replacements in there already (drives awesome and lifts truck front end level for those looking for another leveling option,) but it didnt dawn on me that the shop wont be replacing 138k mile suspension, perhaps just 20k or 40k worth...ill still use some PB anyway over the next few weeks.

can anyone tell me if any bolt that might be seized, a typical shop would carry or be able to get while im gone for 5 days in the keys?

Just had my lift installed this week. OME Front/Rear Shocks, OME 885/896 Front/Rear Coils, Front Top Plate Spacer, and Toytec Front Differential Drop Kit installed with alignment and 250-500 miles re-torque for $350.

nice ^ i see some of you in the 3-4 hundred range making out nicely. honestly in MA - ill accept the $580 quote i got, everything in this damn state is so expensive. tougher pill to swallow with how few places there are to wheel and camp; luckily i have one of the only legal places to do so about 15 minutes from my house, freetown state forrest.

The bolt that goes thru the lower shock eye and into the LCA. Mine seized in the bushing. Took hours to cut out.

thanks for the info - hopefully that doesnt happen to mine and if it does they have a replacement bolt for the new shocks.

excited to have this scheduled though - getting the lift, rims and tire upgrade, sliders, and rear tire carrier pretty much all at once.

If youre pretty confident mechanically

you may consider having some assemble the struts for you and do the R & R yourself. Or rent yourself a spring compressor and DIY..

The rears even i can do but i did save some time and money just having mine assembled and not installed by someone else.

Coastal Automotive. It’s right before Awendaw and near Charleston. If you have any questions just send me a PM and I’ll help you out

Anyone have suspension/lift installed in the Dallas/North Dallas area have any recommendations and costs? The stealership quoted me $1,700, another shop never responded to my inquiry and a mobile mechanic quoted almost $900. I initially wanted to do it myself but don't have the tools nor the time.

Tandem Automotive in Haltom City--they specialize in Toyota trucks

They quoted me $450 for a suspension install including an alignment--was gonna take it to them before I just decided to do it myself. However, I did just have them replace the power steering pump and CV's about 2 weeks ago. Nice group of guys who know their stuff.
