Factory lock/unlock wiring with DRL flasher relay
I've exhausted my testing and research efforts looking for a way to wire up my turn signals with a new alarm, and I'm hoping someone on here can give some guidance. I have 3 or 4 different wiring diagrams for a 4th gen, but so far I can't find this:
My truck had the gulf states alarm system installed, so I removed it thinking I would lose all functions. I found that my factory fob still locks/unlocks the truck, still has the small beep, flashes the turn signals, etc. I have converted to 06-09 lights front/back.
Next step was to wire in my new system. It's all in and works great, the one thing I've held off connecting were lights. I want to keep the factory turn signal flash when locking/unlocking. Also the little beep, but i've heard that it's practically impossible.
So far though, I cannot find a way to wire into the turn signals, I have the 11 pin DRL flash relay from factory. The instructions call for me to wire into the 16-pin green wire left of fuse box, but that blinks parking/license plate lights. I do have 2 separate lighting wires for my system, but what I can see, each turn signal is individually wired at the BECU and flasher relay.
The good thing is that successfully removed the gulf states crap and installed this over a couple days! I can't believe how poorly the "factory" port alarm was installed. Total hack job and random fuses. I cleaned up the wiring and hid the new brain behind the cabin fuse box, good as new
