transmission output shaft bearing replaceable???

I'm working on my buddies 06 2wd v6 and it has a very loud roaring and vibration. i tore down the driveshaft to replace the u joints and it has a lot of play at the transmission output shaft. It looks like i might be able to pull off the tail end to replace the shaft bearing. but i see gasket material at the rear section above the transmission mount.

Does anybody know if the tail end can be pulled to replace a bearing and if it needs to be pressed???

digging in more I found that the extension housing is removable and and the fluid is probably going to come out. i only found a number for a tacoma extension housing bearing and saw bushings also.

I'm trying to help a buddy who's lift i did does anybody have any info???
like would that bearing cause play in the drive shaft like a bad u joint when there isn't that much play when the driveshaft is out.

How much play are we talking about here?
I have two 2WD 4Runners, they both have some play at the transmission extension housing...
Ive chased driveline noises in both of them, ended up being a rear diff and then rear wheel bearings in the other...

Put the rear on jack stands, chalk the front wheels, put the truck in drive and then wach the drive shaft for any movement.

Edit: On one 4runner the first time i felt the play in the extension housing I freaked out and thought it was a lot, but my other truck felt the exact same way, so I figured it was normal
