Parts form an 04 Limited installed in an 05 Sport

Hello everyone!

I haven't posted on here in a while but I'm starting a new string of projects and I thought input from others would be helpful, and, hopefuly leavings some info behind others might find helpdul.

I have a 2005 v8 Sport 4x4. So far I've:

1) 5160's
2) 6112's
3) Drawers in the back
4) Full sterreo upgrade - all componetes.
5) Optima Yellow
6) Headlights from an 06
7) Prinsu Roof Rack
8) C4 Lo-Pro Winch Bumper - Painted to match body
9) Winch
10) Lightbar in bumper
11) Other small modifications to improve usablity.

I picked up a limited 2004 4Runner that had been rolled, it had sliders, ARB lockers, skid plates, and full interrior with auto diming and compas mirror, leather power and heated seats, leather door trim, leather center console, 115v AC, rear cargo deck, dual zone hvac, and all the extra trim I want.

I swapped the door panels already, the center console was prewired for the AC (but the dash switch had a different plug on it), when I isntall the AC control panel it triggers an airbag fault, I want to do the seats next and have them heat and power work.... Anyone attempt something like this?

Thanks!

As far as heated seats I installed them in my sr5 and used the OEM wiring. Although there isn’t a harness, there is a green wire under the driver side kick panel that is for heated seats. I tapped into that and added an oem relay in the heated seat spot in the fuse box.

Also to make the limited HVAC cluster work I believe you are going to have to pull the entire blower assembly because the limited has multiple blend doors. I’m not sure but if you can swapping the wiring harness that goes to the HVAC cluster would probably be a good idea

With the seats get one of those 12 volt batteries from Home Depot or wherever and test the leads on the seat. If there’s a yellow connector that’s for airbag. Once you figure out what goes where maybe cut the connector in the 04 and solder up your own wiring harness with a constant 12 volts and in line resistor

For the 115, check if there's anther pigtail. I thought they started the RSCA (Roll sensing airbags) in 05 and that's probably why you're getting the airbag light. Should be another pigtail if it was pre-wired
