2009 suspension /lift recommendations

Hi guys,

Got a 2009 4runner SR5. I want to replace my struts and add a slight lift and level the front with the rear. I already ordered a set of Bilstein 5100's. I do want to put bigger than oem size tires down the road. I've been reading up on how some are lifting the rear up. Some peeps are using spacers on the rear only and some are putting rear Fj Cruiser springs on the rear only and some are putting Fj Cruiser springs on the front and back. Is there a wrong way to do this? I want a really good ride and I don't do any off roading. I do go to the mountains one day a year but its mostly paved and some trails. Appreciate any advice.

5100's with FJ springs all around, 275 AT tires, and call it a day. Good setup for what you described.

ok cool. Do I have to use oem springs or could I use aftermarket? I found a set of Moog springs on eBay. Also do the springs need any modifying? Thanks for the advice.

You could also do Wheelers T1/T12 springs. I did 5100's and Wheelers and love the look and ride. About 2.5 in the front and 1.5 in the rear.

Yep. Moog, OEM or the Wheelers springs are all good choices for 5100's.
