ARB rear locker for V8

Got my compressor installed on a Rago mount. Rear locker is ordered, should be here in a few weeks. Any advice or tips on the install before I do it?

Thanks!

You installing the locker into your third member or you have a pre-built third?

Are you changing gearing at the same time?

Just installing into the current 3rd member. Not re-gearing, yet...

What size tire are you running?

Locker install / re-gear is pretty much the same job. If you are doing it yourself, no big deal, if you are paying someone to do it, it's an opportune time to consider it due to the labor savings.

Yeah I would imagine a regear now would save you some headache down the road.

Setting up gears is kind of a complicated job that requires some specialized tooling and know-how, I wouldn't want to do it myself. Good luck.

Carry an ARB line patch kit. Easy 2min repair of ripped ARB line.

33s at the moment. May try and stuff 35s once these wear out. I do plan on installing myself, with a buddy that's experienced.

Thanks for the advice man, appreciate it. If I re-gear, you think 4.88s are my best option with the V8?
