With these LED conversions I have a question: On my Hyundai Elantra when I went to LED I had to leave the cover off the back of the headlight housing which turned out wasn't an issue with water and dirt, but It worries me with the 4runner as it'll be more susceptible to water and dirt. Sorry if this is a dumb one: does the headlight unit "cover" still fit?

(Admittedly I have not looked at the back of the unit)

Runner doesn’t have a cover like some cars, bulbs just have an O-Ring to keep stuff out.

Has anyone needed to adjusted their headlights after the install?

I had to adjust mine after I installed the LEDs. Even with the sharp cutoff of te LEDs, I recommend you still properly aim your headlight beams so you dont blind other drivers

I would guess it is individually based on how your lights were adjusted before changing over. In my case, I did not have to make any adjustments.

“I bought this back-up bulb and have been disappointed in it: Philips 12789LPB2. Likewise it is supposed to be 6000k LED. It simply does not project very far and I back into my driveway and then the garage. There are no street lights on my street and my driveway is fairly long, 100ft. Often I have to get out and turn on the eve lights and garage lights to back it in.”

HIGH OUTPUT WHITE 6 LED 921 - 921 - Shop Bulb Number These have been working really well for me so far

I’m excited to try these H11 GTR lighting ultra 2.0’s, I should have them installed by tomorrow. I’ll be upgrading from the GTR Gen 3 ultra series which were great but starting to get outdated.

GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0 low beams

Got the lights installed today and was able to run them last night, holy crap they’re super bright!!! I would say about twice as bright as the last GTR series

Just going to add my two cents to the mix... These are alright. I agree they are an upgrade over stock halogen. But not as good as even plug and play HID kit Of decent quality. But for the price and convenience it’s an upgrade. Just surprised how blown away everyone as it is.

Good LED's match HID's

Have had 4 sets of HID's in my camry and 4runner(2 each). Recently picked up about 8 sets of LED's and 3 of the 8 matched or exceeded the HID's. The Katana 12K lumen ended up being the best, followed by their 10K. 3rd set were simdevanna?

They're $25 and require 5 minutes to install. And they make my stock 2005 headlights look like I forgot to turn them on.
