Until there's an independent LUX measurement, I'll remain skeptical.

It’s just ridiculous for the price. I picked up a spare set. For comparison Sylvania silver star ultras are $50... for shit output and color when compared with these.

There are no hot spots or squirrel finders. Cut off is clean with our 06+ projectors. Output is stunning.

It is nice to have road signs light up super far down the road even though the lights are controlled. The packaging was pretty solid and the bulbs themselves seemed of decent quality. For now, I will keep the original bulbs in the glovebox in case one starts acting up, but I don't foresee that happening.

Plus it is clean white lighting!

Awesome, thanks for this post! I was over here starting to research project retrofits for clean cut off, but these look great.

Tell me about it. Been there, done that... Waste of time and $600-1k. I found that although cutoff and output with HID retrofits were great, they never lined up exactly how I wanted. I had to shim the bottom of my 02 headlights to get them to aim properly.

Sorry, should’ve mentioned I already have the ‘06 lights. The driver’s side one had a good bit of moisture in it for that trip so I’m sure that contributed to the problem. I took it out to seal a couple of spots I suspected could be the problem so we’ll see how it holds up,but either way, I’ll grab the LEDs because if these keep leaking, I’ll just get another set, likely OEM next time.

Keep us updated as time goes on please. Literally 100's of amazon reviews stating they fail in less than 12 months and numerous buyers revising their previous 5 star reviews down.

Interesting. When mine fail I will update the thread. All bulbs die at some point.

Please let me know if you notice a difference!

I too have cougar motors LEDs, and while theyre better than incandescent, there's definitely some room for improvement.

I'm gonna go ahead and order these. My headlights just don't do the trick when traveling through Ohio at night. Thanks.

Here they are lit within DT Moto black 06-09 headlights. Paid a whopping $139 shipped for the headlights. Cheapest I could find - link below. Only issue is the turn signal bulbs don’t turn all the way. They go in and turn a few mm. Good enough to hold the bulb in place.

Also, stock headlights were a ***** to remove. There are four bolts total. One you will need to access through the fender liners... and it is not easy. I left that bolt off when I installed these lights.

I read a ton of reviews too, but most say they were very good about replacing them. The cooling fans seem to be something that’s complained about because of noise. I’m not concerned about that with headers, and TRD exhaust though. As far as them failing in a year, most of the expensive halogens only last that long anyway. That seems to be the trade off if you want better lights unfortunately. That, or dropping close to $1k for a real HID setup like the OP mentioned. Those bulbs aren’t exactly cheap when they fail either...

Please update on the DT Moto lights after running them for awhile. I have black aftermarket ones too, can’t remember the brand (bought on Amazon), that have had major leaking issues after a few months. I’m looking to replace them at this point, but don’t want to waste money on the same problems again.

With regard to that 4th screw, they are plenty stable with the other 3, and I’ve been running over a year like that. Since I take them in and out frequently because of condensation issues, it would be a major hassle if I had to do the 4th one every time!

It’s probably the same brand. Go to your local auto parts store and pick up a tube of windshield sealant. Take off the lights throw them in the oven for 10 mins at 250 deg. Pry them open with a plastic tab popper tool or flathead screwdriver. Wipe out condensation. Dig out China sealant. Replace liberally with windshield sealant. Reseal headlight. Reinstall.
