Question about engaging 4WD

Recently bought an '06 V6 Sport and had a question about engaging 4WD.

When I turn the knob to H4, the green 4WD light AND yellow center differential light start blinking. Then the green 4WD light goes solid and the yellow center diff light disappears.

Is it normal for the the yellow center diff light to start blinking when I engage 4WD?

Also, I know I'm supposed to be under 60mph when transitioning from H2 to H4. Does it matter if I have my foot on the gas, accelerating, when I do this?

When AWD doesnt engage right away I switch the gears to reverse and it clicks in right after.

That hasn't been a problem for me. It seems to click in after just a few seconds.

Yes, the center diff lock light is normal. You can engage it once in H4. It is 55MPH not 60. You can have your foot on the gas but it will take longer since it is waiting for a tiny window between trans shifts so just let off the pedal for a moment. I would assume it won't clutch and override the throttle as a safety precaution.
