Race Buckets on OEM Brackets (Pre-RX300 Seats)
So this week I am picking up 2x Lexus RX300 seats from a guy for a good price to replace the racing bucket seats I did a few years back. When I remove them on W/TH I'll document and post up more photos of exactly how it was done. But it CAN be done. These were originally a marketing tool for my embroidery company, and I decided to toss them in. They ended up staying in for about 3 years and are still going strong aside from dirt.
A few pics for tonight that I sent my friend who wants these. Again, I'll post more photos during the removal process and install process of the Lexus seats.

So, the $50 2001 RX300 powered seats are a great fit. You have to remove the arm rest from the seats, but it takes less than 5 minutes per seat.
I used to front, innermost bolt hole on the bracket to line up the other holes for nutserts, the back holes were lined up properly left to right, but were short of the OEM holes by about 3". I used M8 nutserts and bolts with washers to fasten them down. I'll be adding more pictures soon once the weather warms up and I go back in to wire up the seat heaters/switches.
I'd like to sit in OEM seats again to compare the height at which I sit, but I am 5'11 and my head is about 2" from the ceiling with the seat at its lowest Y-axis setting. There is plenty of hip room, and sliding around is easy and comfortable. My only complaint is that the seat adjustment switches are probably 1-2mm away from the drivers door, but the passenger has 1-2inches.

So my dome light was one that had the option for wireless headphones and separate radio control by backseat passengers from factory. The unit was dead, so the computer part was removed and sold, then replaced with 2 orange LED's that can always be turned on and have lower draw than the stock lights. I can take more photos of the wiring and setup if you'd like!

Did you put the RX seat on top of the OEM 4th gen tracks? or use the RX seat tracks? Would be pretty cool to have another bolt in option for seats.

I did not, when I pull them out to wire the seat heaters, Ill look and see if its an option. The width of the tracks looked the same, I'll see if the Torx line up!

My concern for doing a sawp the way you've done it is, are the nutserts strong enough to insure they will hold and be safe in the case of a crash/accident and not rip or let loose!

Good point- Ill most likely revise the mounts when the temp gets warmer out. Im considering adding steel plate to the underside and nuts to secure them when I wire in the heaters.

Did you ever take anymore pics of the rails and seat setup? I'm interested in trying to install seats from a newer Lexus RX.

So use caution when installing Lexus RX seats. I ran some from a 2003 RX300 and I lost about 5 inches of headroom. I finally went back to OEM leather seats. I gave the seats to my friend down in Boulder, I'll see if he has installed them yet.

Well I definitely won't use them. I already have issues with headroom in this vehicle. I need to either replace the drivers seat with something from a Toyota/Lexus or just replace the leather on the lower cushion and also shorten the bracket to get it lower.
