Love the build! Couple quick questions...

On the titanium bolts - did you size each one and order as needed, or is there a kit offered?

I really dig those wheels and am considering a set for mine - is there a reason you chose 18" over 17"? I'd prefer 17" but worry maybe the lip design or spoke design might be different.

Thanks! I counted the bolts I needed and ordered them through titanium works. No kit is offered presently. I got to know the owner Ridhwan as he made many custom titanium parts for my Nissan GTR. If you back up a bit in this thread I mention how many you will need for the 4.7L.

The wheels are aggressive concave six spoke design similar to TE37’s but with a lip. The matte gunmetal finish is outstanding. You won’t be disappointed. Years ago the limiting factor on the 18”s used to be tire selection. That is no longer the case. The problem I had with 17”s is if you ever want to upgrade your brakes in the future, 17”s will limit your rotor size. I have a set of Rotora 14” front and rear rotors and forged calipers in the mail presently. They only work with 18” wheels.

That's exactly why i love those wheels. I was looking for a deep-dish concave TE37-style wheels. The best I could find had the faux bead-locks which I think are obnoxious as they are overused a lot. Are you running spacers as well? Looks like you are also leaving off the center caps - not a fan?

BTW, love the GTR! Those wheels are badass as well. I used to drive a highly modded 300ZXTT and would love to get my hands on one of those sometime.

No spacers. These wheels have the right offset. Not a fan of center caps. Never had them on my 3rd gen or my FJ.

The GTR is a huge money pit right now... Thank goodness it’s almost done! LOL

Buh-bye shitty OEM brakes!

Massive 14” front and 14” rear Rotora two piece rotors with aluminum hats along with Rotora 6 piston front and 4 piston rear forged aluminum calipers installed today...

Review to follow.

At some point I think this truck will be supercharged. The huge question mark for me is whether or not the power is necessary. For my 3rd gen absolutely... It was anemic AF. Even my 5th gen felt like it was in economy mode all day long. This 4th gen 4.7L V8 has a good amount of torque and I’m not really feeling the “need” to pony up the cash to add 100 AWTQ.

Will install DT long tubes and go from there. But I think we all know where the story ends...

I'm just surprised nobody has seemed to tinker with what I think is a pretty good platform to build a drag truck out of. AWD, easy to swap in a bigger rear axle with LSD, lower the suspension, sticky tires, crank the URD kit up to +10psi, throw in a few engine and transmission parts and do full exhaust. These V8's are built pretty strong already I think they could handle quite a bit of horsepower with a few internal upgrades.

This thread inspired me:

Ha! I am also following that thread.

Built engine and trans, up the boost to at least 10 lbs would be a very fun truck to drive for sure.

Where and what did you get for the front grill with the Raptor LED's? I am looking for that exact setup.
