ARB skid set

Hey, does anyone know if the type of skids in the link below will mount fine with ubolts from my white knuckle sliders? They seem like a good intermediate style skid setup instead of the other options but unless they bolt up conveniently im not really interested.

you shouldn't have a problem as the arb skids don't connect to the frame rails. i have those skids and shrockworks sliders - great combo.

Are those the right ones? A quick search with that part number comes back as 10+ 4Runner and FJ Cruiser.

I noticed the other line item listings, I was thinking it might just be an incorrect description saying 10+ 4Runners, do we know if anyone has ordered and confirmed this to work? ARB's website itself doesn't say anything on this part number at first search. If they do fit it's a good deal compared to how much many other skid sets are for the same coverage, especially for us amateur (at best) offroaders.

I have the ARB-5421100. required a couple extra washers under the diff to clear it, but besides that, all good! Here are mine

Thanks for confirming! I'll put these on a to-order list once I get my wheels/tires finished up!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news...but the ARB skidplate kit is a pile of junk if you actually go offroading. Literally ALL of the parts of every single skidplate bent completely out of shape on the very first rockcrawling trip I went on. When getting home the skid plates were bent so much that the skids were just resting on the parts of the truck that they were supposed to protect. I ended up welding 1/2" steel rod all along the top of the plates after removing and bending them all back into shape with a sledge hammer.

If there is any other skidplate package you were looking at, go with the non ARB. Of course this depends on if anything will ever touch the skids...mall crawling or Aussie style "off-roading" (also known as driving on the beach) probably won't break these skidplates.

Great for piece of mind protection, but yes, I would not use them for a "rock crawling" rig. I have then sitting in my garage and they look well built and more then adequate for what I do.
