Factory mic with scion stero help needed

I've had the 2016 scion FRS unit for some time now. I just added the overhead console with the mic and homelink because I had neither in my 07.

I plugged the microphone into the console, but I still get no microphone when I try to make calls. Anyone know how to make the magic happen?

Any more details? I am not sure I follow the question. I have been looking at the 2007 4th Gen Nav wiring recently in detail and know that Connector R26 has 4 related wires (MACC, MIC+, MIC-, Shielding). Your Scion mic wiring should have these same? Though I am not familiar with the 2016 scion FRS unit there should be a way to get it to work. If anything you can run your own wiring from the mic down to the Nav.

Can you confirm the harness in the roof goes to the back of the stereo in a 4R that didn't have the mic? I saw a post somewhere that the roof harness went to the driver kick panel but not to the stereo.
