New tires went on this weekend. 285/75R17s for the win! Will probably be doing a body lift to help accommodate these tires along with a bmc and pinch weld flattening. Also found out my lca cam bolts are frozen so I'll be doing LCAs soon. No fun.

Love it. Looks amazing. Makes me want to re tint mine.

Also the tires look TALL!! Lots of ground clearance now.

Thanks a lot man! It was definitely a significant height increase. And I love the way the tint ties everything together with the wheels too. I get a ton of compliments from my friends who couldn't give two shizzes about cars so that's always a good feeling.

Thanks for the kind words! This is definitely a solid "platform" now and I can't wait to take it to the next level. Thinking armor and regearing axles will be in my future.

Got my Pioneer MVH-1400NEX installed this weekend. Not gunna lie, it was kind of a pain to do, but that's because I chose to do it in the dark by the light of a headlamp with full humidity (thanks NC weather) and hella mosquitoes.

Overall very happy with it after the install though. It has performed really well once I turned up some of the volume settings. It also has the integration with iDataLink Maestro. Very cool little piece and I'm glad I got it. Also managed to install the little signal usb/charging usb port that some others on this forum have used. Put it in place of that pesky DAC button that my gf always somehow manages to touch when in my car. I ended up just relocating it into some of the free space under the shifter plastics. It's just laying there underneath so if I ever need to re-install it it's right there.

On another note, I had bought and planned to install some new door speakers as well. I went with the Focal Integration components series speakers. After installing the driver side front door system, I decided to do a test bump and man am I glad I did. The tweeter was literally no louder than my phone volume.....I walked over to the other side of the car to see how loud the stock system was...it wasn't even close....the Focals did not hold a candle to the stock stuff. After awhile of being on the phone with Crutchfield customer service we ended up coming to the conclusion that my only option for significantly better sound would come from me replacing all the door speakers and powering them with an amp as well as replacing my stock amp and stock sub with an aftermarket unit. Also I would have to run all new speaker wire everywhere. So better audio is off the table for awhile...besides, my speakers still sound pretty good imo

That's a well detailed build thread of a really nice and clean ride man! I have to admit I've been torn between those wheels and the TRD Pros that seem to be dominating the scene lately, but seeing how sharp yours looks with bigger tires has me leaning that way...even though mine is Galactic Gray color with some dark ass windows and blacked out do-dads here and there LOL.

Thanks a lot man! I have really enjoyed this community during my progression. I would definitely go with these wheels for a few reasons. I got mine brand new for $200 for the whole set, and they can be found around that price pretty easily if you just keep an eye out. I see most people paying that per wheel for the pros. Secondly, the black paint really helps the look POP. Although the pros look good, I feel like they are more for a ride that doesn't want a lot of attention and kind of wants to look "stealthy" (idk...just my opinion). If yours already has a lot of blacked out stuff I would be hesitant to add more darkness to it ya know?

Agreed, and that was exactly my line of thinking as well. I picked up a set of OEM Sport nerf-style step bars today for $40, and got the black housing DTMoto headlights delivered yesterday, so installing those tomorrow along with yellow fogs and all LED bulbs...put the blacked out tails in today. Have a 3"/2" Eibach lift kit coming soon to fix that awful front rake, so rims will be the last big purchase for a while...famous last words LOL.
