Door Lock Actuator Clocking

Trying to see if anyone has run into this issue before. Drivers door lock actuator on my 05 went out. The toyota one is ~$350, but of course there are tons online for $30-50. So the part comes in, everything looks good except the cruciform for the manual lock portion is clocked 90*. If you arent familiar, the cruciform is a little thicker on one leg to avoid incorrect installation.

So I contact the vendor the confirm fitment and send a new part, but the new part has the same issue. I went through multiple other ads for parts that claim they will fit, but i can tell from the photos i will have the same issue as you can see the cruciform is clocked wrong.

Out of curiosity i took the extra one i now have apart assuming i could maybe just reclock the cruciform, but the internal parts are keyed as well. I'm tempted to get the dremel out and make it work, but I'm concerned looseness in the joint may cause some issues, if not now, down the line.

Has anyone ordered one of these and got a good working part? If so, where?

For reference, is the part im working with.

For the price of the after market part I would do the Dremel route, slowly enlarge the slot until the key portion fit into it, what the worse that could happen it gets too loose to work, but you say you have 2 anyway, so then do the same to the second one, if it fails you're only out the $40 and you can still buy an OEM at that point.
