Alarm Issue 2003 4runner

I have an alarm installed from the dealer, which has always worked just fine. I recently installed an aftermarket remote start that uses the factory key fob. My issue is, about every 5 times I disarm the alarm, it doesn't actually disarm. The doors unlock, the light stops blinking, but it goes off anyway as soon as I open the door. Super embarrassing. Other times, it works just fine. I'm not exactly sure what other information to give, but I can get more specific as needed. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Could I have miswired something specific? I remember there being a wire that went to the door locks that said something like "2 pulses required". I'm at a loss.

This is the kit I installed.

what is installed by the dealer? is it the vip security system?

are you using the unlock wire or key sense?

for the same price, i would of bought a compustar all in one remote start and alarm, even tho no warranty from ebay, but if you can get it wired correctly, it should be ok. check out some previous threads here, i think you have to look for the remote start threads. you can use some pictures.

if your not sure, check out wirecolor.com and pay the 5 bucks to get full photos and wire location.

What part of the country did the vehicle originally come from? there was a port installed security system installed by Gulf States Toyota that is a real pain to find information on. If it is that system it is completely different than the Toyota VIP system.
