Just to verify, the dome lights in the rear passenger and cargo areas, not the map lights in front? Domes are 30mm festoon,3022. Map lights are 194

i nominate you for sainthood
yes, dome over the passenger seat area, dome over cargo area. I pulled one but it has a brand on it instead of auto industry part [8WAL:68?]
thank you.
i see led kits marked with "3022" , but their pictures show wedge types.....
THANKS!

Funny thing is most lookups state wedge bulbs for 3rd-gen map lights when they’re actually BA9S “bayonet” type (at least on my ‘02 they are). If you’re looking at interior LEDs don’t get the Philips ones. Their 194 wedges are nice but sadly the festoons are no brighter than stock filament bulbs.

Unhappy fail

well this did not go well...
Amazon's auto parts finder filter marked these as compatible, and so did the mftr. They aint

https://www.amazon.com/Anourney-Fest.../dp/B07L9NXXFH

Descrip: Anourney 6Pcs DE3175 DE3021 DE3022 C5W 31mm/1.25'' Festoon LED Bulb, 2
4 SMDs 3014 Chipset LED Replacement Bulbs for Internior Car Licese Plate
Dome Map Lights D 12V with 12 Month Warranty
Ordered, came fast, good deal supposedly. I see this same part being sold under a variety of names and huge price spread. the problem is that they are close, but no cigar fit. the overall length is the same, and they have a tapered end but it i generic. my oem part has spikes on either end, that must fit into a hole on one end and slot on the catch-end, otherwise the first bump you hit will shake them loose. Secondly the blunter tip on the LED's results in an effective length that is longer than the OEM, so it is trying to wedge in there under a lot of pressure. I could force it, and they do turn on and are super bright, but just fall out on any sort of vibe or bump. no good. Returned them with no problem

Anyone have a KNOWN fit? would love to have the extra white bright light

I just used these as part of my conversion: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They don't look much different than yours. The tabs that hold the festoon bulbs in are spring steel and I can insert one end, then push the other side contact away from the bulb and slide it in. They are all in tight, no flickering. I did notice the OEM bulbs had a bit of a spike on each end but that didn't cause me any problems. Well worth making them work as the difference in the amount of light is phenomenal. I also upgraded the map and courtesy lights with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also a big difference and fitment is much easier.

I highly recommend these LED bulbs. WHITE HIGH OUTPUT 24 LED 360deg 30MM 3022 - 3022 - Interior Lighting - Shop Application
I've got them in the passenger and cargo areas. And if you've got the funds, look up the replacement bulbs for the door pocket lights too. They make a big difference lighting up the ground when the doors are opened. I've been very pleased with stuff from this company.

The VLEDS bulbs fit in perfectly for me.
But if you need to use OEM bulbs, the part number is 90981-14011

I found a seller packaging x2 Sylvania LEDs for about $13 shipped. Looking at the picture they seem to have the little nipple on the ends.

Just a heads up to new readers I tried the sylvania DE3175 which is the same as 3021 . I almost broke the housing pushing so hard it will not go in ! Only thing I can figure is they are 31 mm ang need to be 30 like the 3022 but so many Amazon adds have the numbers all jumbled and say they are all comparable but they are not I even tried sanding some of the sodder off the ends then pushed even harder bulb broke and had to reassemble housing after .

Lightbulb updating

anyone tried these? Amazon.com: Audak Festoon LED Bulb 30MM 2835 8SMD Canbus Error Free for Interior Dome Map Lights Door Courtesy Lights Trunk Lights License Plate Lights (Pack of 4) : Automotive

I did not keep packaging for the ones I finally bought based on our earlier conversation but it failed after awhile. was never a good fit not being a true 30mm length tip to tip and/or poor quality. bluish... finicky

I really dig WHITE light... not yellow, not fakey blue, if anyone has suggestion
also low beams.....
