Driver’s seat bottom replacement- Taupe Leather

I have a 2007 Limited with leather interior. The driver’s side seat bottom is cracked on the side and needs replacement.

Paint code is 1D4 “Titanium metallic”. Interior code is LB42 which Toyota calls “Taupe.” Do people think the seat bottom below is the correct one? It looks too “tan” for me but the seller says it is the Taupe color. Thoughts?

Toyota 4th Gens only have one Taupe/Tan color, the seller states it's a OEM replacement so I would think it's the correct color, the seller also offers to sent you a return label if you have to return the product, I think it should match other than your original seats may have faded over the years and of course the new one will not have any dirt and oils from years of use in the leather.

One other thing if you click on the "Full Description" it states that the electrical area has not been cut out so you would have to cut the cover where the seat switches are.

The seller also has a 100% reputation, which is comforting.

Thank you! My seat does not have the power cut outs in the leather. They are in the plastic below. Will give the seat a shot and report back!

Check out this ebay seller. They will send you sample and answer any questions you have. The sample they send for grey was exact match so I ended up ordering from them. I haven't installed yet but they look nice. I have not affiliation with this seller.

So I got the seat installed today. It wasn’t that bad. Probably took 3 hours but in reality about 1.5- 2 hrs of work. The seat isn’t quite as nice as the factory skin, primarily in regards to the clips and such. We made it work. I think it will be fine and I feel it is much better than looking at the cracked seat!

In the photos the color match seems good, how is it in person?

Looks good! I just finished re-covering my seat bottoms from the other seller that I liked to. Same minor gripe that some of the clips weren't the same as OEM and transferring the heating element was a real pain but fit was great all said and done. For the seller I linked, my new seat bottoms on longer match my worn seat backs. The material however is a perfect match to the clean and untouched by the sun parts of the seat. Probably should have just done seat backs at the same time but this was already more than I wanted to spend to fix a little side bolster cracking.

It’s a good match, color-wise. Main issue is I have one new seat skin and the rest are worn/faded/dirty.

Do you know if these covers can simply go on top of the torn one without taking the whole seat out of the truck?

No, they are "replacement" covers.

I got driver side seat bottom for my LImited last year. I LOVE them! The seat leather showed lots of cracks and was ripped on the side. These make the seat look new. The passenger side isn't damaged, but it is worn, so I'll be buying a new one for that.

Appears to the be the same vendor I got them from. Good luck

Thank you. Unfortunately I'm not confident enough to remove my driver's seat and get it back in successfully. If the covers I ordered recently don't look right then I'll give the replacement leather covers a try. Good to know you are happy with the result.
