Need help! White knuckle slider install

I need advice from those that have installed these white knuckle sliders! I install the passenger side no problem. But this driver side I think I did something wrong ? The rear upper brake line clip I was able to do, but I can’t seem to figure out the center U bolt . Following the instructions my center u bolt doesn’t line up at all. I don’t see how I can push the slider forward anymore for it to line up ? See below ;

Center u bolt pictured location per instructions

The location of my slide in relation to the u bolt

Are you guys unclipping the side brake lines (circled in green) and leaving them unclipped ?

I don’t see how I can slide them anymore forward as they would touch in the front

and rear

Any advice would be appreciated !

i did this not too long ago (in MA cold garage sub freezing no less)

i believe i popped/broke the green circle clip and slid mine further back, you will want to get it under those lines and further back.

if youre still not able to reach it, which i think happened to me, unfortunately i undid the rear most bolts (might have left u bolts in slider) and the front i loosened or removed bolts, and then i got the middle ones and the others after.

did you have fun popping the clip on the rear top of frame drivers side?

that gave me the most trouble so its cool you got that out of the way. i hated popping the clip with a flathead blind with the hardlines in it.

I was thinking of going with these sliders myself! Do you have HREW or DOM?

Was doing some light research and saw that people were suggesting other brands at a lower cost, but the reviews for people with WK seem to love them, how are you feeling about them almost a couple years later? Cheers!

I've had mine for a little over a year. Love them. I had zero issues installing other than they are heavy. I got the DOM and they look perfect. I used Raptor liner to paint and that's holding up well also.

Thanks for posting that shot, they look awesome. Good call on painting it yourself with Raptor liner, that might be the way to go!

It's held up incredibly well on my sliders and front bumper. Another shot of the sliders.
