Need help with last step before removing subwoofer, anyone?
Ok i have a 2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited and am replacing the jbl sub. I followed a write up on here and removed all screws but cant get the side door panel up and away what am i needing to do that wasnt in write up based on the pictures i am enclosing. anyone that could shed some light so i can finally install my new sub would be greatly appreciated.
In the pics i have the double decker cargo shelf on and tried sliding it down. Was i. Supposed to remove it all together. I feel like the seat is also stopping that end of panel from coming out

When I did my sub, my seats and shelf were already out, so the job seemed easier than the write-ups had made it out to be. So yes, maybe remove them? Neither are difficult to remove, but they do add to the project.

I literally did this yesterday. Fold the cargo deck all the way flat, remove the long piece closest to the back seat first, it's 2 10mm bolts held inside the plastic pieces with the rings.
Then with the cargo tray flat, there are 2 more 10mm bolts holding this part to the frame.
Hope this helps!

yeap, just make sure you got the positive and negative correctly.
if its too short, just make some extensions.

One set of wires is yellow/red, and the other is green/black.
If you read at the bottom of the OEM connection, it shows +/-.
Hope this helps. It took me all of 5 minutes to cut the factory clips and rewire the new sub.

If you haven't finished this yet, the plug is shaped like a T and you can see the + and - when you pull the plug. The bottom of the T should be + and the top should be -.
And for what it's worth, being a girl shouldn't matter. You're probably ahead of a lot of boys on here for even trying it. You go, non-gender-specific-vehicle-modifier.

On the speaker, the spring loaded button with a red top denotes positive, the black button denotes negative. Do NOT think match colors. The sub woofer actually has 2 speakers, red and yellow go on one side......black and green go on the other side.
Just remember you will have a reduced output as the speaker you chose was 4 ohm.
