2004 4runner Limited 4.7 v8 Transmission (A750F?) SL-2 Solenoid part number?
Have a check engine light with a "p0778 pressure control solenoid b electrical",.. which I hope just means I have a bad solenoid aaaaand of course that I can repair it in my driveway.
Does anyone have a part number for this as searching for this turns up SL-2 solenoids,.. that all look different. Is it part number 35210-50010? I go to varied sites that say this part fits my 4runner,.. and others say it doesn't... also: how many do I need? 1 or 2? Some say 1,.. some say 2 req'd.
Thanks in advance.

Guess no one knows as the searches I've done show others with similar questions but no answers... with hundreds of views.

So,.. anyone?.. No one has ever had this problem?
I have 2 solenoids quoted to me as the one for the truck: 35230-60010 and the aforementioned 35210-50010.
Anyone that can point me to the correct solenoid,.. I'll owe you a beer as these are through 2 different Toyota dealers... asking for the SL-2 solenoid.

I doubt many here have had to deal with any of the solenoids, if it were me I would consult a few transmission shops in your area to see if they can shed some light on this issue for you.

Yeah,.. searching around the forum,.. there have been several people getting the P0778 error... going back years. Would figure that some of them might pipe up and mention what resolved the issue for them... guess not.
I have found a video from a shop Australia that shows replacement of the solenoids though. Looks simple enough... drop the pan, loosen a bracket and replace.
Just thought as this was a forum for assistance,.. I'd ask here.

What you need to understand is the ones you found that could possibly help you may have move on to newer 4runners and haven't seen your post/question or it's possible they're not even members here any longer, and even if they're still active here it very likely they haven't seen your topic.
The usual way to get someone's attention who maybe able to help you is to either quote and or mention them like I have done here mentioning you by putting an @ symbol in front of your screen name
@ wmiranda
by doing either or both will sent a notification/s to that member (you should see 2 notifications that I have quoted and mentioned you in the upper right of the forum page under where it says "Welcome wmiranda") and when they see the notification/s it's very likely they will visit your topic and offer what they can....BUT this will only work IF they're still active, the only way to know that is to visit their profile page and see when they were last active on the forum, I have seen members here asking questions of other members who haven't visited the forum in years and most of the time they didn't even quote or mention them when asking the question, so even if the member was still active they still could miss the question.

Before you drop the pan and start replacing solenoids, check the connector on the driver's side of the transmission. There's been some other posts discussing this in the past few months.
The connector from ECM to Transmission Valve Body is in a bad place and seems to attract corrosion. I had an issue similar to what you're describing. Turns out I had some mild corrosion which created enough resistance to make the solenoid misbehave.
