Better handling after trd pro wheel install

Hi all,

Has anyone else noticed that their 4runner has a more "planted" feeling after installing trd pro rims? The difference in driving characteristics from 4th gen sport rims was noticeable (previously the vehicle felt slightly "wobbly"). Or is it all in my head? The tires definitely stick out more than stock... Anyone know what a few mms in track width would equate to in terms of handling characteristics? Just a late night random thought...

When you added them, was it with the same tires? What about alignment? Not doubting that track with makes a difference, but I believe that new tires, and/or an alignment can make the biggest difference in feel and stability. My truck was day and night different when I installed my Fuel wheels with a +1mm offset, as opposed to the 30mm of the stock wheels, but I attributed it mostly to the fact that I also installed brand new, larger AT3Ws, and had a fresh alignment. I definitely have a drastic change in offset though, as well as wider rims and tires, so who knows?

It could, don't have them but would like to. I know they have about an inch or less backspacing which would definitely widen the track. I agree an alignment made a world of difference after my suspension and tire install too. Pretty sure the PRO wheels are 3.5" back spacing and my stock sport wheels are 4.75-5". BFG's might not rub UCA with your wheels as they do with mine at full lock. Only downside I saw was they are 17x7"
