Another factory air bag question.

I've been looking around and can't see the answer I'm looking for anywhere. I'm looking to get a few inches of lift for clearance and tires in my 03 limited with RAS and XREAS. I went fishing the other day and was scraping skid plate on the way in.
Is there any issue with leaving the rear suspension at full height all the time and leveling the front to the rear? I was thinking about putting billstein 5100 shocks in but my understanding is the air bags don't want to compress that far without potential damage, since I'm mostly after clearance for ruts and washouts, can I just put in a bump stop at the right height? Or can I put in aftermarket air bags with different height range in and leave them taller than stock but less psi in them for softer ride?
I don't know where that will put the front exactly, anybody know if that'll put me into tearing CV boot territory?
If it's been done I would love to see some pics and get an idea of tire size, costs and issues associated.
If it's a bad idea I definitely want to know that before I put any more thought into it...
Thanks!
Sorry if that's confusing for any reason, let me know if something doesn't make sense.

I have been running Bilstein 6112s/5160s on my 2003 Limited since November of 2017 with RAS, with no problems. I can raise and lower the rear suspension quite nicely.

Excellent!! That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking about doing. Now that it's been done for a while how do you like it? Any issues overlanding or on road with it and would you do anything differently the second time?
I didn't see where you mentioned changing the height sensor for the self leveling as others have mentioned, just curious about your choice with that?

I love it. I can raise the rear for off road and I love the way it handles. Over the weekend, I had seven 8' 2x8s and ten, 10' long 1x6 deck boards loaded out the back. No issues whatsoever. I did not do anything to the rear sensors. The 6112s are set at 4 and 2 on the height. If you go this route, you might want to consider 5 and 3 to take out a little rake. I don't mind it, though.

This is, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck short of going all out for aftermarket control arms and Icon or King shocks.
