This is the Red from passenger side:

This is white from drivers side:

Red is bright enough (500 lumen) to read or find whatever in the 4runner. Doesn't effect your night vision at all. Actually much easier on the eyes than white.

How did you get the LEDs to fit in the dome lights? They seem to be a little bit too wide with the connectors and won't stay in for me.

I used a hemostats to help hold them in with one hand, while I manipulated things with the other. Not all that easy, suckers popped out more than a few times. I looked silly! Different than all the other times I do....

On another note, the key fob remote starting acting weird right after installing these. Basically the two button hit to unlock all doors, or turn off the lights became a problem. Very odd thing. Inconsistent, or doesn't work at all. May have to take them all out and see if that had some effect. Not sure how they could interface, but something changed.

Some bulbs are super easy, some are a bit tougher. The glove box light was a pain in the rear for me. I used this LED and this tool made it so much easier. As a matter of fact, that tool came in handy for a lot of the bulbs.

I still haven't done the rear turn signals or brake lights, the headlights, the high beams, the fog lights, or the side markers. Side markers are tricky to get to. Headlights, high beams, and fog lights are a bit more expensive than most of the interior bulbs. Turn signals require resistors or a flasher change.

Right now, I am considering diving into the dashboard at some point. All my bulbs in there currently work, so I'm in no hurry, but I'd love to go from that orange-red to an ice blue, or even just a plain white. But I also don't do soldering.

I'd love it if my cup holder lights were a little brighter, but that's part of the dashboard, in my opinion.
