I ordered OEM hood struts from Toyota. It was a 10 minute replacement job. Big improvement.

Ordered new hood struts on RockAuto, cant remember the price or part #, but I did order the best ones they sold. Installed them in no time at all. That was two years ago and they are still working great.

OEM hood struts are $63 each or more, Rockauto the most expensive ones are around $21 each, will the OEM struts last last longer than the Rockauto ones, very likely, will they last more than 3 times as long, most likely...but who knows!
