Doug Thorleys install and brakes sticking

Hey all -- shop guy called. DT headers are installed but after driving for 15 miles he says the calipers, mostly the passenger, start sticking really badly.

I have the 5th gen upgrade with stainless lines.

Anyone experience an issue like this? Shield or something needed with the new headers and stainless lines?

Any help is always appreciated! Thanks.

Calipers seizing is probably an incidental finding that the mechanic thought to bring to your attention. Not related to DT header install whatsoever.

Yeah he's def thinking it's related, like the headers heating up the fluid.

He ran into a number of issues, thought maybe someone on here would know what's up.

We're going to replace the hoses and see how that goes. Caliper is in good shape no rust. Hoping it's a collapsed hose and unrelated.

You skipped the most important part. How do the headers sound and how does it feel at the pedal?

I got a cracked header and the DT looks interesting.

UPDATE:

just to close the thread out, replaced the brake stainless hoses and front passenger caliper and seems to have solved the problem.

i did the 5th gen upgrade 3 years ago, painted the calipers and there were no signs of rust on it today and it still failed. sucks.

thanks all for your help. can't wait to get the truck back!
