Oh man, I just joined the forum for this group buy, someone mentioned it in r/4runner, but I'm looking for the Shorty Header for my 05 V8 because I plan on moving to Colorado...
Can you weld the stock cat onto the Long Tubes?

You can... but I wouldn't advise it, be better to just buy some Magnaflow highflow Cats through Jason to squeeze out some more power and they'll last longer.

I'm worried about being able to pass inspection in Colorado.

Do these require any kind of tune? I don't care about performance increase, I care about longevity and prefer a quiet exhaust if possible with no drone.

As
@ K-D-Runner
said, I'd recommend the Magnaflow high flows cats, these will give you an extra 7 HP per cat over the factory cats! You can order them from me and they are super inexpensive. Call or text 717-319-2100

Nope, that's the best part. No tune is required or needed (but we are working on a tune that will give another 15-20 hp! stay tuned). And these headers will actually give your exhaust a more smoother/quieter sound after installed, plus the 3-4 more mpg highway (on stock tires). My other customers with 3" lift and 285's, about 2-3 more mpg highway.

Just a heads up,
@ Formidable
sold his 4R. I’ve been following this thread because I’m happy with how it was handled on DT’s end and this extension of that. I have a V6 or I’d be down lol.

I’ve been in touch with Doug Thorley and I may be number 20 if we can make this happen. Full SS!

Denver area.
I thought I had to get the Shorties in order to fit a cat on there. I already have an after market exhaust from cat back, how much more modification would I have to do in order to fit the Magnaflow cats?
And at what price with this group by allow me to get the Long Tubes?
Essentially, I want to know an estimated price on what it will cost me to get the Long Tubes with the Magnoflow cats on my '05 v8 that already has after market exhaust from cat back.
