If I'm easy on the gas I saw an increase from like 15/16mpg to 18/19mpg. City driving and with my extra love of the gas I'm still around 15/16 but it was closer to 14 before. Definite gains.

Don't know how much difference the suspension work made. 3" lift between billys at 1.85" and FJ coils. Did all control arms and some other things, truck is level.

Running Faulken 275/70's and had a little rub on the JBA UCA so had to do spacers.

Rig is awesome is all I can say. Everything was pricey but I got a new truck! Highly recommend!
Which FJ springs? Moog? Did you replace front coils?

yeah they were the moog FJ springs. i dont have a lot of experience in different shock/spring setups but it seems to be a balanced pairing. the rear hops a bit from time to time (and it did before too so idk)

setup wise, iirc, bilstein 5100's all around on 1st setting, new moog springs all the way around, JBA uppers, OEM lowers (only fronts, i haven't done the rear arms yet), cornfed spacers & spyder spacers. everything is level and got 3" gain across the board.

most offroading i really do is outer banks every year on the beach. absolute unit there.

So I think I have a leak with my new headers. Has anyone had issues with gaskets or anything leaking on them?

Did you use the included Doug Thorley gaskets or did you get new OEM? Did you retorque the header bolts after 200 miles?

I had the shop use the gaskets included with them from Doug Thorley.

I haven’t taken it back to the shop but I am next week to have the AC fixed, I’ll ask them to retorque them.

Kinda wish I went with cats now, I can’t drive with the tailgate window down because it smells so bad haha

Shop re-torqued them and still sounds like a leak.

Also getting codes P0420 and P0430 even with the 90 degree mini cat eliminators. Checking engine light and other lights still showing up.

This has been one of the most frustrating modifications I've ever done.

How much did the shop charge to re-torque the bolts?

Nothing, I had it in there already for replacing the AC and heater core. My friend owns the shop and I trust they did it.

Would spraying water mixed with some soap on the headers show where the leak could be? When I'm in the truck with the windows down, it sounds like a leak.

I was thinking of trying this with mine, with the headers cold, but they will warm up fast, and it might instantly evaporate.

I've noticed a tick with mine as well if the windows are rolled down, and I'm driving around houses or something to reflect the noise back. I'm pretty sure the ticking is a normal header thing but wanted to double check the header flanges weren't leaking.

I would think if they were actually leaking, then the noise would be terribly loud. I've started my truck with open headers before, and driven with a small-ish crack shortly after a header and it sounds like a completely different truck.

I've gone about 600 miles since installing the headers. With the windows down and accelerating, i'm hearing a little bit of a tick noise.

Just a reminder to remember to re-torque your header bolts after a few hundred miles. I just re-torqued mine recently and was surprised how loose they were! Got at least a couple turns re-torquing the header nuts and in the process, i noticed i'm missing two stud nuts. No wonder I was hearing a ticking noise. Luckily I was able to get ahold of Titanium Works and they were able to send me two replacement right away.

Exhaust leak has come back getting worse over the last few weeks. Looks like it's happened to a few others. Gonna torque down the bolts first and hope it's not the gaskets. Anyone had to replace gaskets yet?

I had to get my bolts retorqued and had the gaskets replaced at the end of the y-pipe. Not sure how bad the gaskets were before hand, but after retorqing the headers stud bolts and gaskets at the end of the y-pipe, all was good
